B. M. Persinger, D.D., pastor of Epworth Methodist Church. There was a large attendance and many beautiful flowers, the casket being covered in a pall of red and white roses. During the services, a quartet composed of W. Fred Bonney, Sr. Lu Talbot, Walter McFall and Chauncey German, sang, "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere." Pallbearers were H. L. Miller, W. H. Robbins, J. C. Pugh, James J. Cannon, W. M. Barnes and A. L. Cross. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery.
