DEATH OF MRS. LELIA A. LEE.
The venerable Mrs. Lelia A. Lee, relict of the late Thos. R Lee and mother of 
Mr. C. C. Lee, died suddenly at her residence, No. 81 Cumberland street, at 2 
o’clock yesterday morning. She was enjoying her usual health at 11 o'clock 
Friday night and up to that hour had been conversing with her family. After 
retiring to her room she arose and knelt as if in the attitude of prayer and 
died on her knees from heart failure, in a very short while after the attack. 
She was loved by a large circle of friends, and was for many years a member of 
Granby Street M. E. Church.
She leaves, in addition to her son, several daughters. The hour of the funeral 
will be announced later. 
FUNERAL OF MRS. LEE.
The funeral of Mrs. Lelia A. Lee took place from her late residence, No. 81 
Cumberland street, yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock and was conducted by Rev. 
Dr. A. Coke Smith of the Granby street M. E. Church. The interment was in 
Elmwood Cemetery.
