His funeral services took place at the house yesterday afternoon, at 4 o’clock, and were conducted by Rev. S. S. Lambeth, of the Granby Street M. E. Church. His remains will be taken this morning to his old home, at Northwest, in Norfolk county, to be there interred. They will be accompanied by Captain H. B. Nichols, postmaster; J. F. Dezendorf, appraiser of customs; George E. Bowden, , Esq., and George W. Black, marine clerk of the customhouse. The flags of the customhouse were at half-mast yesterday, in respect to the memory of the deceased. Mr. Lee was a native of Jamestown, New York. His father was the Rev. Luther Lee, D.D., who is yet living at Milford, Michigan. At the breaking out of the war, he resided in California but returned to New York and assisted in raising the Second New York Cavalry, in which he was a captain. At the close of the war, he settled in Pleasant Grove Township, Norfolk county, and there married his first wife. He represented the Republicans in the State Convention and was also a member of the Legislature. His second wife is a native of Cleveland, Ohio. He leaves three children—one by the first, and two by the second wife. Mr. Lee was appointed collector of customs for this port in 1870 and was reappointed in February 1874.
