Norfolk Virginian January 9, 1868
DIED.
On Wednesday, the 8th instant, at half past 1 o'clock, a.m., Mr. THOS. R. LEE, 
in the 61st year of his age.
Mr. Lee was long and favorably known in our community as an enterprising and 
successful businessman, justly esteemed for strict integrity and the generous 
impulse of his nature. He was stricken down by paralysis in 1863 and, after many 
subsequent attacks and suffering for five years from the effects of the disease, 
his life came to a peaceful close, leaving a large and affectionate family who 
deeply mourn the loss of a kind and devoted husband and father and a constant 
and faithful friend.
The funeral will take place THIS AFTERNOON at half past 3 o'clock from the 
residence of the family on Brewer street. The friends and aquaintances of the 
family are invited to attend.
