A Portsmouth native, he was a retired employee of the Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority, and a member of the House of Prayer for All People where he taught Sunday school and belonged to the Soldier of the Cross organization. He was also a member of the Rising Sun Masonic Lodge No. 2, the Cohesion Royal Arch Chapter 14, a past commander of the St. Thomas Commandery No. 4 and the Arabian Temple No. 4. Among the survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Margaret Russell; two brothers, Clyde Lee and John Lee; three sisters, Mrs. Elma White, Mrs. Margaret Pankey and Mrs. Thelma Carr, all of Norfolk. Funeral services were held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. in the House of Prayer for All People with Elder E. Elliott in charge. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery, with Graves Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
