The funeral of Mr. Bennie Lee, who died 10 o’clock Wednesday night, July 27, was 
held at St. John’s A. M. E. Church of which he was a member, last Sunday at 1 
o’clock p.m. with Rev. L. L. Berry, the pastor, officiating.

Mr. Lee was a well known Norfolk man, having a wide circle of friends. He was a 
member of Rising Sun Lodge, A.F. and A.M. Sons of Virginia, Sons of Norfolk, 
Norfolk Social and Beneficial Association. He was an active member in these 
organizations, playing important parts in many phases of their work.

The deceased is survived by a mother, Mrs. Emily V. Lee, three brothers, Abner, 
Johnny and Theodore A., two nephews and a niece. Interment was made in the 
family plot at Calvary Cemetery.
