Norfolk Virginian Pilot Thursday February 2, 1939


Mrs. Laura Boyd Harden LeFaucheur, widow of Louis James LeFaucheur and 
daughter of the late Mathew and Mrs. Joicey Patterson Michelle Harden, a 
native of New Kent County, and a resident of this section for the past 50 
years, died at 9:40 o’clock yesterday morning at her residence, No. 6 
Colonial Apartments, 208 Middle Street, Portsmouth. Mrs. LeFaucheur had been 
a resident of Portsmouth five years. She was a member of the Episcopal 
Church. Surviving her are one daughter, Mrs. Myrtle LeFaucheur Miley, of 
Portsmouth; a step-son, L. Joseph LeFaucheur, of Norfolk; a grand-daughter; 
Mrs. Paul A. Putnam, of Quantico; a grandson, Edwin LeFaucheur Miley, of 
Portsmouth; three great-grandchildren, of Quantico, and several nieces and 
nephews, of Richmond.
The body will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 
Colonial Avenue, to Cedar Grove Cemetery for services at the grave, Friday 
morning at 10:30 o’clock with the Rev. J. R. Peckham, D. D., of  Trinity 
Episcopal Church, Portsmouth; officiating.
