NORFOLK — Mrs. Minnie Johnson Thomas Leggett, 92, of 157 Orleans Circle died 
Wednesday in the home of a granddaughter, Mrs. Joy Bryan Longworth, 2224 
Windward Shore Drive, Virginia Beach.
She was the widow of William Thomas Leggett, a former president of Norfolk Coca 
Cola Bottling Works. She was a daughter of Jordan and Mrs. Mary Jane Wright 
Johnson.
A Norfolk native, she was a lifelong resident of this area. She was a member of 
Francis Asbury Methodist Church, Island Circle of King’s Daughters, and 
Lafayette Garden Club.
Surviving are another granddaughter, Mrs. Jane Bryan Alverson of Denver, and 
seven great-grandchildren.
The family is at 2224 Windward Shore Drive.
A funeral service will be conducted Friday at 4 p.m. in H. D. Oliver Funeral 
Apartments by the Rev. William P. Petre. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
