Norfolk Ledger-Dispatch January 7, 1911
The body of Samuel W. Leggett, formerly of Norfolk, who died yesterday at Weldon, 
N.C., arrived in the city today and the funeral occurs at three o'clock today from 
St. Paul's Episcopal Church, with services conducted by Rev. Beverly D. Tucker, 
Jr., rector of St. James' Episcopal Church at Boydton, Va., and Rev. J. M. Owens, 
rector of St. Paul's. The interment will be in Elmwood cemetery. The deceased 
leaves a widow and four children, the latter being Harry W. Leggett, of 
California; Mrs. Lillian McKenzie, Mrs. Charles D. Pitts and Miss Mattie Fleming 
Leggett, of Norfolk. The deceased was a member of the Independent Order of Odd 
Fellows.
