The Virginian Pilot and Norfolk Landmark December 11, 1926
William R Leland, aged 67, died at his residence, 2517 Harrell avenue, last 
night after a long illness. He was a native of Boston, but has been a resident 
of Norfolk for 46 years, being employed by the Norfolk Warehouse Corporation 
for a number of years. Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Sarah Fentress Leland; 
two daughters, Mrs. L.D. Walker and Mrs. H.r. Lambert; four sons, W.R. Jr.; 
C.R.; O.R., and H.L. Leland, all of Norfolk, and ten grandchildren. He held 
membership in Norfolk Klan No. 3. The body was removed to the funeral home of 
James V. Derry, 346 West Princess Anne road. Notice of funeral later.
