He was a native of Boston, but has been a resident of Norfolk for 46 years, being employed by the Norfolk Warehouse Corporation for a number of years. Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Sarah Fentress Leland; two daughters, Mrs. L.D. Walker and Mrs. H.r. Lambert; four sons, W.R. Jr.; C.R.; O.R., and H.L. Leland, all of Norfolk, and ten grandchildren. He held membership in Norfolk Klan No. 3. The body was removed to the funeral home of James V. Derry, 346 West Princess Anne road. Notice of funeral later.
