Norfolk Virginian Pilot Tuesday March 8, 1938
Charles Raymond Leland, aged 47, son of Mrs. Sarah Fentress Leland and the 
late W.R. Leland, died Sunday night in Washington after a short illness. 
Besides his mother, he is survived by two daughters, Misses Evelyn and 
Bernice Leland, of San Diego, Cal.; two sisters, Mrs. Levy Walker, of 
Norfolk, and Mrs. Elsie Lambert, of Washington; and three brothers, W.R. 
Leland, Jr., Otto R. and Horace L. Leland, all of Norfolk. The body will 
arrive this morning on the Norfolk and Washington steamer, and will be taken 
to the Derry Funeral Chapel, Harrington and Colley avenues. Funeral 
arrangements will be announced later.
