Norfolk Virginian Pilot May 19, 1948

Mrs. Cecelia Rosalie Murray Lenney, 80, wife of John J. Lenney and daughter of 
the late Patrick and Mrs. Elizabeth Shields White, died Friday in St. 
Petersburg, Fla., where she had lived a number of years. She was a native of 
Baltimore, Md., coming to Norfolk at an early age and residing here for 43 
years, until 1911. 
Besides her husband, John J. Lenney, of St. Petersburg, Fla., she is survived by 
two nephews, Vincent and Emmett Murray, of Norfolk and a niece, Sister Mary 
Vincent, of the Order of Sisters of Charity.
The body will be taken from the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to St. Mary's 
Catholic Church for services tomorrow at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary's 
Cemetery.

1948, CECELIA ROSALIE MURRAY, wife of John J. Lenney, and daughter of the late 
Patrick and Elizabeth Shields White, in the 81st year of her age. Remains will 
be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, No. 1501 Colonial Avenue, to 
St. Mary’s Catholic Church, for services THURSDAY MORNING at 10 o’clock. Friends 
of the family are invited to attend. Interment, St. Mary’s Cemetery.
