"Bruno" Leombruno, 91, expired March 27, 1999, at his home in Norfolk after a short illness. Mr. Leombruno was born in New York City and raised in Glens Falls, N.Y. He owned Guarantee Barber & Beauty Supply Co. Inc., having retired in March 1998, after 56 years of service. In 1998, he was recognized by the Old Dominion University Student Art Gallery as a "Patron of the Arts" for supporting the gallery for more than 35 years. He was the son of the late Joseph and Rosini Leombruno of Glens Falls, N.Y. He was predeceased by a grandson, Michael R. Rice, of Norfolk, brothers, Salvator J. Leombruno, James J. Leombruno and Albert J. Leombruno, and sisters, Antoinette L. Sweet and Violet L. Marciano of Glens Falls. Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Lena I. Leombruno; four daughters, Janet L. Rice of Norfolk, Carolyn Rose Leombruno of Albany, N.Y., Diane L. Wyatt and her husband, Rick, of Norfolk, and Cheryl I. Jenkins and her husband, Bob, of Columbia, Md.; two brothers, Daniel J. Leombruno and his wife, Joyce, and Joe John Leombruno of Glens Falls. Mr. Leombruno was a loving and caring grandfather who thought the world of his nine grandchildren, Mark S. Rice, Cheri Jennings, Dennis C. Rice, Christine R. Garland, Robert O. Jenkins Jr., Chris R. Jenkins, Trea Jenkins, Ricky Wyatt and Michele Wyatt; and two great-grandchildren, Carie Eckroade and Coleman Jennings. Mr. Leombruno loved the game of golf and enjoyed many hours on the course with his longtime friend, Tom Holahan. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church for more than 67 years. A man of great faith and devotion to God and his family, he was a gentle man who will truly be missed by his loving family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Newport Avenue and Painter Street in Norfolk, by Father Julian B. Goodman. Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. There will be a Christian Wake service at 5:30 p.m. today in the Norfolk Chapel of H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, where the family will receive friends until 7 p.m., and after funeral services on Tuesday at Bruno and Lena's home.
