NORFOLK - Jessie Mae Leonard, 75, of the 900 block of Scott St., passed away June 
15, 2007, at Chesapeake General Hospital. She was born May 22, 1932, in 
Mississippi. She was predeceased by her husband, Eddie Lee Leonard and a daughter, 
Eddie Louise O'Neal.

She leaves to cherish her memory one son, James Leonard of Norfolk; one brother, 
Samuel Davis Sr. of Norfolk; four grandchildren, Darrell Leonard of Virginia 
Beach, Nakeesha Leonard, Kenneth Nichols and Brian Nichols, all of Norfolk; 10 
great-grandchildren, Jante, Akira, Demetrius, Deonte, Devon, Darrell Jr., Annesha, 
Shanell, Kenneth Jr. and Kamyra; one great-great grandchild, Jakyla Leonard; and a 
host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Metropolitan Funeral 
Service, 7246 Granby St. Interment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Norfolk. Family 
and friends will assemble at the chapel. Condolences may be offered to the family
