Virginian-Pilot, April 29, 1962
WAVERLY - Israel Levy, 85, retired clothing merchant, died Friday night in 
Atlantic City of a heart attack.
A native of Poland and a former resident of Suffolk, he was a son of Jacob and 
Mrs. Rebecca F. Levy of Poland and the widower of Mr. Yetta Levy.
He was a member of Agudath Achim Congregation, Suffolk Elk Lodge 685, and 
Suffolk Lodge 1393 of B'Nai B'rith.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Annie L. Frohman of Waverly and Mrs. 
Bessie Levy Havelock of Petersburg, a son Jack Levy of Norfolk.
The body was forwarded to I. O. Hill & Co. Funeral Home in Suffolk. A funeral 
service will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. in Agudath Achim Synagogue by Dr. 
Murray Cantor. Burial will be in Fairmont (B'Nai Israel) Cemetery in Norfolk. 
The funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 1:45 p.m.
