Rodgers, Mount Washington, Md., yesterday morning at 1 o'clock after a long illness. He was the son of the late William H. and Jane E. Lewelling and was born in Norfolk, but for the past 30 years had made his home in New York and Mount Washington. Mr. Lewelling was with the Old Dominion Steamship Company for more than 25 years, and at the time of his retirement, about five years ago, was commodore purser of the fleet. Besides Mrs. Rodgers, he is survived by the following nieces and nephews of this city: Miss Jane Whitehurst, H.B. Calwell, Lewelling Whitehurst, Calvert S. Whitehurst and George Whitehurst. The body will arrive in Norfolk tomorrow via the Chesapeake Line. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home of E. Lee Cox & Bro., 631 Westover avenue, tomorrow morning at 11 o'clock. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
