Lewis and daughter of the late Charles H. and Mrs. Portia Deming Langley, died at the residence of her sister, Miss Annie L. Langley, 611 Raleigh avenue, last night at 8:30 o'clock. Mrs. Lewis was a native and lifelong resident of Norfolk. She is survived by two sisters, Miss Langley and Mrs. E.P. Crockett, both of Norfolk, and one brother, Joseph D. Langley, of Nashville, Tenn. Funeral arrangements will be announced later. ********************* Mrs. Carrie Langley Lewis -- Funeral services for Mrs. Lewis, widow of Percy E. Lewis, and daughter of the late Charles H. and Mrs. Portia Deming Langley, whose death occurred Tuesday evening, were held at the residence of her sister, Miss Annie L. Langley, 611 Raleigh avenue, yesterday at 12 o'clock noon, with the Rev. W. Taylor Willis, rector of Christ and St. Luke's Church, officiating. There was a large attendance and many floral offerings. The casket was covered with a pall of Easter lilies, white roses and fern. Interment was private in Elmwood Cemetery. The pallbearers were E.P. Crockett, J.Dey Moore, Portius Deming, Burwell Deming, Luther R. Britt and Arthur J. Hall.
