Norfolk - Mrs. Frances H. Lewis, 72, of 977 Marietta Ave. died Wednesday 
night in her home after a short illness.

A native of Norfolk County, she was a daughter of Alfred and Mrs. Amanda 
Wheatley and the wife of Charles Lewis.
She lived in Norfolk 40 years, and was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist 
Church.

Besides her widower, surviving are a son, John T. Boyd of South Norfolk; two 
daughters, Mrs. Corine Tiller of Brooklyn and Mrs. Mamie B. Poole of 
Norfolk; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Lillie Cofield of Bronx NY; two sisters, Mrs. 
Della Thomas of Newport News and Miss Annie Wheatley of Baltimore; and eight 
grandchildren.

The body was taken to Morning Glory Funeral Home. A funeral service will be 
held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. in Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church by the Rev. F. P. 
Wise, pastor. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
