The Virginian Pilot Tuesday April 8,1980
Norfolk - Mrs. Sophronia Lewis of 701 Easy St., Apt. B-104, the widow of 
James M. Lewis Sr. and a native of Norfolk, died Sunday in a hospital.

She was a member of Queen Street Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Mary Taylor of Norfolk; five sons, James 
Lewis Jr., Linwood Lewis, and Reginald Lewis of Norfolk, George R. Lewis of 
Baltimore, and Curtis R. Lewis of West Germany; 27 grandchildren; and three 
great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be held 1 p.m. Saturday in Queen Street Baptist church by the 
Rev. J. Jasper Freeman. The body will be in the church at 10:30 a.m. 
Saturday. Graves Funeral Home has charge. Burial will be in Calvary 
Cemetery. The family will be at the hoe of her daughter, Mrs. Taylor, of 917 
Tidewater Drive.
