The funeral of Mrs. Lillian Strother Lewis, of 1522 41st street who died at 
her home on September 18, was held at the First Baptist Church, Lamberts 
Point, on Thursday, September 23 with the pastor, the Rev. J. Jasper Freeman 
officiating. The deceased, a native of Roanoke, VA, had lived here for five 
years. She is survived by her husband, James Lewis, two sons, two brothers, 
nine sisters, and a number of other relatives and friends. Interment was in 
Calvary Cemetery.
