Mrs. Annie Holmes Lewis, native of Ivor, VA, died in a local hospital Nov. 25.  
Mrs. Lewis, of 1333 Buck road,had lived in Norfolk 50 years.  She was the 
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. Holmes and the widow of the late John U. Lewis.

Mrs. Lewis was a member of Rose of Sharon Baptist Church.

Final rites were conducted by the Rev. Samuel Wilson at the Graves Funeral 
Chapel Nov. 28.  Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.

Surviving are one son, John Edward Lewis;  two sisters, Misses Catherine and 
Beatrice Hoggins, Onancock, VA;  nephew, Garland Jones Sr.;  Cousins, Mrs.  
Wisterie Hill, Long Island NY;  Mrs. Margaret Ann Stamp and Garland Jones, Jr., 
both of Norfolk and Roy Lee Jones, Rochester, NY.
