Norfolk - Joseph Willis Lewis, 57, of 3053 Pioneer avenue, who died Sept. 20 
at his home, received final rites Tuesday at Queen Street Baptist Church, 
where he served as scoutmaster and usher.

The Rev. J. J. Freeman officiated at the service.  Interment was in Calvary 
Cemetery with Riddick Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Lewis was a native of Tarboro, NC.  He was employed by Ford Motor Company 
for 13 years.

The deceased is survived by two sons, Anthony B. Lewis of Norfolk and Stanford 
Lewis, a master sergeant serving in Alaska;  two sisters Mrs. Nina Johnson of 
Wilson, NC and Mrs. Lucy Worsley of Tarboro;  and three grandchildren.
