The Virginian-Pilot, Tuesday, April 19, 1977

NORFOLK - Mrs. Alithia Lewis of 1242 Maltby Ave., the widow of Ernest Lewis Sr. 
and a native of Princess Anne County, died Saturday in a hospital. 

She was a member of Union Chapel Church.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Deloris Walton, Mrs. Alithia Davis, Mrs. 
Martha Miller, and Mrs. Mary Stokes, and a son, Ernest Lewis Jr., all of 
Norfolk; three brothers, William Byrd and Charlie Byrd of Norfolk, and Eddie 
Byrd of Rhode Island; 29 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in Hale Funeral Home Chapel by the 
Rev. J.L. Kearney. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will be at the 
funeral home Wednesday night from 7 to 9.
