Norfolk - Last rites for Mrs. Fannie E. Lewis, of 1224 Courtney avenue, were
conducted Sunday at Mt. Zion Baptist Church.  Officiating was the Rev. W. O.
Deloatch.  Burial followed in Calvary Cemetery with Hale Funeral Home in charge.
 Mrs. Lewis, a native of Amelia County, VA, died Aug. 11 in a local hospital
after a long illness.

She was a daughter of the late George and Mrs. Mollie W. Scott and the widow of
Oliver B. Lewis.  She was a member of the Pastor’s Aid, choir, usher board,
missionary, C.F.T.C. Club and Flower Club at Mt. Zion Baptist Church.  She was
also a member of Miriam Tent No. 33.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Florrie Smith of Norfolk;  and on brother,
Joseph Scott Watts of Philadelphia.
