Lewis Sr., of the 400 block of Poplar Hall Circle, died March 29, 1996, at Chesapeake General Hospital. Mr. Lewis, a supply supervisor, worked for the Norfolk Naval Shipyard for 41 years. He was a native of Norfolk, and the son of the late Willam Thomas and Mary Brown Lewis. He was the widower of Vernice F. Lewis and a member of First Calvary Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Pearl Lewis-Sheppard of Clinton, Md., and Eva Lewis-McHorney of Chesapeake; three sons, Clarence E. Lewis Jr. of Pasadena, Calif., George T. Lewis of Norfolk, Robert D. Lewis of San Diego, Calif.; 16 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at First Calvary Baptist Church by the Rev. Johnnie L. White. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Viewing will be today from 2 to 8 p.m. at Riddick Funeral Service. The body will be placed in the church at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday. The family will receive friends at 421 Poplar Hall Circle.
