NORFOLK – Joseph Anthony Lex Sr., 55, husband of Mrs. Margaret E. Lex and son of 
Mrs. Sophie Venz Lex, and the late Jacob Lex, died Tuesday at 4 a.m. at a 
Norfolk hospital.
Mr. Lex was a former employee of the C&P Telephone Co., retiring in 1957. He was 
a lifelong resident of Norfolk, residing at 2965 Verdun Ave. at the time of his 
death.
Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by two sons, Joseph A. Lex Jr. and 
Richard F. Lex; three grandchildren, Michael Lex, David Lex and Leslie Anne Lex; 
a sister, Mrs. Gardner Savedge, and two brothers, George Lex and John Lex, all 
of Norfolk.	
The body will be taken from the residence to Christ the King Catholic Church for 
funeral services Thursday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. 
Rosary services will be conducted at the residence tonight at 7:30.
