R. LICKLIDER, 73, RETIRED, DIES IN NEW JERSEY Templin R. Licklider, 73, retired Norfolk coal merchant, died Wednesday at 10 p.m. at his home in Princeton, N.J. A native of Shepherdtown, W. Va., he moved to Norfolk as a youth. His family was one of the first to establish a residence in Algonquin Park, where he resided until about three years ago when he retired and moved to Princeton. He conducted his own coal business for a number of years and later became associated with the Nottingham and Wrenn Company, Inc., coal dealers. He took an active part in Norfolk civic affairs. His late parents were Charles Albert and Mrs. Florence Hart Licklider. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Grace Jones Licklider, of Princeton; one daughter, Mrs. Henry Moffett, of Aurora, N.J.; two sons, Templin R. Licklider, Jr., of Michigan and Heath Hume Licklider of Princeton and one brother, Dr. Albert Licklider, of Williamstown, Mass. Funeral services will be conducted today at 3:30 p.m. at the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments by the Rev. Norman T. Slater, rector of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, Meadowbrook. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
