The Norfolk Virginian, December 20, 1888

The funeral obsequies of Mrs. Mary F.C. Lightfoot took place yesterday 
afternoon at 3 o’clock, from her late residence, No. 145 Bute Street, Rev. A.S. 
Lloyd, pastor of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, officiating.
After the ceremonies the cortege moved toward the city of the dead, and all 
that was mortal of this estimable lady was deposited in her daughter’s lot, 
Mrs. R.A. Forbes, in Elmwood Cemetery.
The pall-bearers were Major R.C. Taylor, Samuel P. Moore, S.S. Dann, John Todd, 
R.E. Evans and J.M. Smith.
