Virginian Pilot, Tuesday, July 25,1989
Norfolk - Samuel Mason Lightner Jr., 22, of the 1200 block of W. 39th St., 
died July 22,1989.

Mr. Lightner, a Norfolk native, had been employed by M & S Van Lines.

Survivors include his mother, Maxine M. Lightner of Norfolk; two sisters, 
Alice Pender of Richmond and Doretha High of Virginia Beach; and a brother, 
Robert Smith of Reston.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Graves Funeral Home by 
the Rev. O. J. Wynn. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may join 
the family at the residence.
