She was a native of Pasquotank, N.C. and resided at Fentress, Norfolk County, where her husband, F.L. Lily, was employed by the Norfolk Southern Railway Co. They moved to Raleigh 10 years ago. Mrs. Lily was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Wood and was a sister of the late Dr. W.K. Wood, a health officer of Berkley, about the time of its annexation to Norfolk. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Lily is survived by two daughters, Mrs. A.R. Creekmore, of Fentress and Miss Eleanor Lily, of Hampton; one sister, Mrs. E.T. Humphries; one brother, Davis W. Wood, and three grandchildren. The body will arrive here this afternoon over the Norfolk Southern Railroad and will be taken to the J.R. Williams Funeral Home, 1027 Chesapeake avenue, South Norfolk, where funeral services will be conducted tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
