The funeral will take place from the Chestnut Street M.E. Church, Berkley, THIS AFTERNOON at 3:30 o'clock. The Norfolk Landmark March 13, 1885 ************************************************************************** Miss Bettie L. Lindsey - The funeral of this young lady took place at the Chestnut Street M.E. Church Friday afternoon, in the presence of a large congregation, the pastor, Rev. H.M. Hope, officiating. She has fallen an early victim to consumption and although her sickness was protracted, she bore it with Christian fortitude without a murmur, conscious that her life was fast ebbing . She died as she had lived, a consistent Christian, and no tribute can equal this.
