The Rev. William Tyree will officiate. Mr. Linnette, a retired boat builder with 29 years employment at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, died in a hospital after a long illness. A native of Norfolk, he was the husband of Mrs. Edna Spence Linnette and a son of Samuel and Mrs. Delilah White Linnette. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Berkley, and sang in the choir more than 50 years. He was a member of Berkley Elks Lodge 12 and its trustee board. Besides his widow, surviving are a brother, Norman Linnette of Norfolk; a sister, Mrs. Rosa Jackson of New York; two nephews, and four nieces. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery with Chatman Funeral Home in charge.
