LINTON DEAD IN RHODE ISLAND Mrs. Benjamin Linton, 433 Fort street, yesterday received a telegram from M.W. Hought, marine surgeon East Side Hospital, Providence, R.I., bringing news of the death of her husband, B.F. Linton, who was engineer on the sea-going tug Edward F. Luckenbach, which left this port on February 3. The body will be shipped to this city for funeral and interment. Mr. Linton was a brother of T.B. Linton of No. 1 fire station, this city. The circumstances surrounding the death could not be learned, though it is supposed that it was the result of an accident. ******************************************************************** Benjamin Linton, of Norfolk, engineer on the ocean tug Edgar F. Luckenbach, who had been under treatment for pneumonia at a hospital in Providence, R.I., died there Wednesday of this week. The deceased is survived by a widow and five daughters, two brothers, Jno. N. and Thomas Linton, also two sisters, Mrs. Sarah J. Batten, of Norfolk and Mrs. Francis Miller, of Princess Anne County. He was a member of Elizabeth Lodge of Masons, Black Hawk Tribe of Red Men, and Elizabeth Camp, Woodmen of the World. The remains arrived here from Providence last night, and the funeral will be held from his late residence, 433 Fort street, Atlantic City Ward, at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon. Linton was held from his late residence, 433 Fort street, Atlantic City ward, at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon and was largely attended, including the Red Men, Masons and Woodmen of the World, of which organizations the deceased was a member. The service was conducted by Elisha Trammil of the Millenial Dawn Church. Interment was in Magnolia Cemetery, Berkley ward. Following were the pallbearers: Elizabeth Lodge No. 34 A.F. & A.M. -- J.T.
