Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - November 13, 1993

Julius Joe Lipscomb, 78, of the 6900 block of Bonnot Drive, a retired 
laborer, died Nov. 8, 1993, in a local hospital.
Mr. Lipscomb was born in West Point, Va., and was retired from L & Chenman 
Co. after 27 years. He was the widower of Martha I. Lipscomb and was a 
Baptist.
Survivors include two daughters, Ruby L. Oluloro and Joyce Platt, both of 
Norfolk; two stepsons, Jimmy Vaughan and Joseph Irvin, both of Washington, 
D.C.; three grandchildren, Anthony Irvin, June Irvin, Brian Largent, all of 
Norfolk; and a host of relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Metropllitan Funeral 
Service Chapel by the Rev. Ted Lewis. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. 
Family and friends wil be at 6912 Bonnot Drive at 10 a.m. Monday for the 
funeral processional to the chapel.
