Herman H. Little, 33, U.S. Army, at his funeral services held at Riddicks Funeral Chapel with the Rev. R. H. Bowling officiating. Sgt. Little, a Norfolk native, a member of the 24th infantry Regiment, was reported missing in action in Korea September, 1950. News confirming his death was received by the next of kin in February, 1951. His body arrived in Norfolk Saturday. Sgt. Little was the son of John F. Little, Sr., and the late Mrs. Emily Little. He attended the public schools and the Booker T. Washington High School here. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Enid Little; father, brother, John F. Little, Jr., three sisters, Mrs. Edna Tice Hopkins, of Norfolk; Mrs. Annie Hickman of Conway, S.C., and Mrs. Clara Alston of Hampton, Va., one aunt and one uncle. Interment was in Calvary cemetery. An honor guard was dispatched from the Naval Base to participate in the funeral, with James E. Atchinson, MMS, J.S. Navy, in charge. Other member of the guard included G. Armstead, TN; T. Jones, TN; E. Strothers, SA; J. Miltey, AME; D.A. Hanna, TN; E.L. Clark, TN; R. Garlin Jr., TN., and J.K. Parrish, SDE, U.S. Navy. Additional Comments: Sgt. Little was MIA for awhile before his body was located and returned to the US.
