The Norfolk Virginian Pilot February 5, 1954
Mrs. Evie Ellen Baines Little, 73, widow of Jesse Little and daughter of Robert 
and Mrs. Mollie Rawls Baines, died at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. 
Charles H. Bailey, 6565 Cottage Toll Road, yesterday at 5:45 a.m.
Besides Mrs. Bailey, she is survived by two other daughters, Mrs. William E. 
Kennedy and Mrs. Nathan O'Neal; a sister, Mrs. P.V. Morois; two brothers, E.H. 
Baines, all of Norfolk, and Sidney C. Baines, of Franklin; four grandchildren 
and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Little was a native of Cypress Chapel, and had been a resident of Norfolk 
for 19 years.  She was a member of the Congregational Christian Temple, 
Edgewater Council 27, Daughters of America, and Oneida Council 6, Degree of 
Pocahontas.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home Sunday at 
2 p.m.  Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
