The funeral will be held this morning, 11 o'clock, from the residence and the Rev. Dr. Taylor, of Freemason Street Baptist Church, will conduct the services. Mr. Lloyd was born in Charleston, S.C. and during the war represented the Confederate government of blockade runners. After the war he was connected with the cotton exporting firm of Roundtree & Co. in New York and came to Norfolk in 1877 when his firm opened an office here. He married Miss Sarah W. Jones, daughter of the late William Ridley Jones, who, with his son, Mr. Granville B. Lloyd, survives him. Mr. Lloyd was a brother-in- law of Colonel George E. Bowden.
