Virginian-Pilot  March 12, 1951
John Joseph Lloyd, 68, fifth vice president of the Journeyman Barbers, Hair 
Dressers, and Cosmetologists International Union of America, died suddenly 
yesterday morning at Huntington, W.Va.
A native of Philadelphia, he resided in Norfolk for many years, at 843 West 34th 
Street at the time of his death. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church 
and Norfolk Lodge No. 38, Benevolent, Protective Order of Elks.
He has no surviving relatives.
The body will be brought to the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments today. It will 
be taken to St. Mary’s Catholic Church for services tomorrow at 10 a.m. Burial 
will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Rosary services will be conducted at the funeral 
apartments tonight at 8 o’clock.
