Lockamy, Formerly of Norfolk, Dies In Newport News Hospital Newport New, May 8 --Leo Francis Lockamy, 37, died today in a local hospital as result of accidental poisoning. Dr. G. Colbert Tyler, city coroner, pronounced the death accidental. Mr. Lockamy, formerly of Norfolk, was reported by his landlady to have taken poison. She said that he told her he had mistaken the contents of a bottle in the bathroom, where she found him overcome. He was taken to the hospital where he died several hours later. He had been employed at the Newport News Shipbuilding & Dry Dock Company as a painter since March. He told hospital attaches that he thought he was taking a headache preparation as designated on the label on the bottle, but learned too late it was poison. He is survived by a brother, Thomas P. Lockamy, 115 Gilpen Avenue, Norfolk. The body will be taken to that city tomorrow, funeral services to be held Monday at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Ocean View, at 10 o'clock. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The landlady told the coroner she did not know how long he had been on the bathroom floor before being found. ***************************************************************************** LOCKAMY, LEO FRANCIS - Suddenly, at Newport News, Va., Saturday, May 8th, 1937, at 9:10 o’clock a.m., LEO FRANCIS, son of the late Thomas H. and Margaret Lindsay Melling Lockamy, in the 40th year of his age. Remains will be taken from H. D. Oliver’s Funeral Apartments, Nos. 610-612 East Freemason street, Norfolk, to Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Ocean View, for services MONDAY MORNING at 10 o’clock. Friends of the family are invited to attend.
