Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark April 21, 1915

LODER - At Morehead City, N.C., Tuesday, April 20, 1915, at 6:50 a.m., 
ROBERT LODER, formerly of Norfolk, Va., aged 80 years.
The remains will arrive at Norfolk this morning via the Norfolk Southern 
R.R. and will be taken to the residence of his son, Mr. Robert Loder, Jr., 
404 Colley avenue.  The funeral will take place at the grave in Magnolia 
Cemetery, Berkley ward, TODAY (Wednesday) at 3:30 p.m. Friends and 
acquaintances invited to attend.

The funeral of Captain Robert Loder, who died Tuesday at the home of his 
daughter in Morehead City, N.C., took place at the home of his son, Edward 
Loder, 404 Colley avenue, yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock.  Rev. R.A. 
Roberson of Colley Memorial Presbyterian Church, officiated.  Mrs. J.B. 
Jones sang several selections during the service. Captain Loder was formerly 
of Norfolk, but he had been for a number of years a resident of Florida, 
where he was connected with the Atlantic Coast Line Canal Company.  He was 
80 years old.  He leaves two sons, Edward and Robert Loder of Norfolk and 
two daughters, Mrs. John Vanderberry of Norfolk and Mrs. Mary Poyner of 
Morehead City, N.C.  Interment took place in Magnolia Cemetery.  The 
pallbearers were R.A. Pebworth, Mr. Weast, Frank Colenda, John S. Webber, 
W.F. Sykes and J. Cherry.
