The Virginian Pilot Tuesday July 29, 1958
Mrs. Ella Steen Loder, 70, wife of Edward Loder and daughter of John and Mrs. Ella 
Applewhite Steen, a native of Nansemond County and a lifelong resident of this 
section, died Monday at 7 a.m. at the residence, 702 W. 35th St.  She was a member 
of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Besides her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Frances Mitchell; two 
grandchildren and one sister, Miss Pauline Steen, all of Norfolk.
Services will be conducted at the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments Wednesday at 2 
p.m.  Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
