She was a native of New Orleans and had been a resident of Norfolk for 35 years, residing at 208 Wayne Circle at the time of her death. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, the Sodality of the Blessed Virgin of that church, and of the Ladies Auxiliary of De Paul Hospital. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Alberta L. Addison, of Norfolk; seven sons, Arthur W. Loebsack, of Long Beach. Calif.; Owen G. Loebsack, of LaPorte, Ind.; Harold J. Loebsack, of Cleveland, Ohio; Thomas A. Loebsack, of San Francisco, Calif.; Milford J. Loebsack and Richard V. Loebsack, of Norfolk, and Pfc. Lamond G. Loebsack, with the United States Army, overseas; 10 grandchildren, one great-grandchild; two brothers, James Short and Arthur W. Short; one sister, Mrs. Viola S. Brockett, of New Orleans, and a number of nieces and nephews. The body was removed to the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments. Mrs. Rebecca Short Loebsack - The body of Mrs. Loebsack, who died Tuesday, will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Christ the King Catholic Church for services today at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
