Robert F. Logan There died at St. Vincent's Hospital at 5 o'clock yesterday morning one of the best known steamboat men in the harbor. This was Captain Robert F. Logan, who was in the employ of the Lambert's Point Towboat Company and recently in command of the tug E.V. McCauley. Captain Logan was a member of the Hibernian Society and his funeral will take place from the undertaking establishment of H.D. Oliver, in Freemason Street, this afternoon at 4 o'clock. *************************************************************************** The funeral of Captain Robert F. Logan, whose death occurred at St. Vincent’s Hospital Saturday, was held from the funeral apartments of Mr. H. D. Oliver, on Freemason street, Sunday afternoon at 4 o’clock. The obsequies were attended by the Hibernians, and a delegation from the Steamboat Men’s Association, of which organization the deceased was a member. The service was conducted by the Rev. Father Doherty, pastor of St. Mary’s Catholic church. The interment was in Elmwood Cemetery. Following were the pallbearers: Hibernians - Messrs. John Cullen, Thos. Fitzgibbon, William Murphy and John C. Cashin. Steamboat Men - Captains Goodwin, Mills, Alexander and Pritchard.
