Norfolk - Mrs. Katie Long of 241 Tidewater drive was given final rites in First 
Baptist Church, Bute Street, Saturday by the Rev. E. P. Simms.  Burial was in 
Calvary Cemetery with Chatman Funeral Home in charge.

A native of Warren County, NC, she was the widow of Idonia Long and a daughter 
of the late William Boyd and Mrs. Millie Jones Boyd.  She died July 8 in her 
home after a short illness.

She was a member of First Baptist.

Surviving are a son, Charles Long, and two daughters, Mrs. Ruth L. Linnette and 
Mrs. Alma R. Harris, all of Norfolk;  and a sister, Mrs. Callie P. Carter of 
Littleton, NC.
