Virginian Pilot Friday, April 1, 1983
Norfolk - Cherry Q. Long of 2501 Hale St., a native of Philadelphia and the
widow of Edward F. Long, died Tuesday in her home.

She had retired as a domestic worker.

Survivors include a daughter, Sarah Allen, and a son, Earl Quidley, both of New
York City;  two step-daughters, Elizabeth long of Newark NJ, and Caleathia
Hinton of Baltimore;  two stepsons, John L. Long of New Jersey and Leon Long of
Bridgeport, CT;  18 grandchildren;  and four great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in Hale Funeral Chapel by Bishop A.
J. Jones.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

The family will be at the residence.
