Requiem mass was celebrated by Rev. Father John Doherty in the presence of a large congregation. At the offertory, Miss Mary Smith sang, “Lead Kindly Light,” and, at the close of the service, Mrs. James Hughes rendered, "Nearer My God to Thee." The floral tributes were very handsome. The remains were laid to rest in St. Mary’s cemetery. Following were the pallbearers: Messrs. Frank O’Connor, Michael Cannon, A. M. Bullock, John S. Webber, Daniel Seay, William Long, John Cashin and P. Rice.
