Long, 72, son of James Walter and Mrs. Mary Keville Long, died at a Norfolk hospital yesterday at 8:30 p.m. He was a lifelong resident of Norfolk, residing at Apartment 10, Carvel Hall Apts., 1240 Westover Ave., at the time of his death. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and its Holy Name Society. He is survived by four sisters, Miss Anna K. Long of Norfolk, Mrs. Mary L. Streeter of Portsmouth, N.H., Mrs. Clifford Z. Christopher of Belmont, Mass., and Miss Helen L. Long, of Norfolk; one brother, Raymond E. Long, of Virginia Beach, and several nieces and nephews. The body was taken to the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments. LONG, MAURICE J. – At a local hospital Tuesday, May 14, 1957, at 8:30 p.m., MAURICE J., son of the late James Walter and Mrs. Mary Keville Long, in the 73rd year of his age. Remains will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 Colonial Avenue, to Sacred Heart Catholic Church for services FRIDAY at 10 a.m. Friends of the family are invited to attend.
