NORFOLK - Tennie Smith ``Tennie Baby'' Longshore, 73, of the 800 block of 
Marshall Ave., died May 3, 2003 at her home. 

A native of Norfolk, she was the widow of Jasper Longshore Sr. and a homemaker. 
She was a member of Smyrna Church of Christ Holy Disciples and served on the 
usher board for 23 years. She was also a member of the flora club. She was 
selected for a special mother by the children of the sixty. 

She is survived by two daughters, Tenia M. Dixon and Katherine L. Nowell and 
husband Richard of Norfolk; a son, Robert Longshore and wife Sherry of Norfolk; 
a brother, Willie Smith and wife Bertha; sister-in-law, Christine Saunder of 
Newberry, S.C.; a brother-in-law, Jack Longshore of Greenville, S.C.; special 
niece and nephew, Pat and Dennis; a god son, Sterling Lowery. She was 
predeceased by two sons, William Smith and Jasper Longshore; and her mother and 
father, Celis Smith and Noah Smith. 

A funeral will be held Friday at noon in Smyrna Church of Christ Holy Disciples, 
Olney Road and Marshall Avenue, by Elder Randy Brown. Burial will be in Calvary 
Cemetery . Hale Funeral Home is in charge. 

Mama we love you and will miss you deeply.
