Virginian-Pilot  March 4, 1908
Mrs. Mary Lotto, wife of Peter Lotto, departed this life at her residence, 186 
Bermuda street, at 9:45 o’clock Monday night in the 46th year of her age. The 
deceased was born in Ithaca, N.Y., where she resided until two years ago, when she 
made her home in Norfolk. She was a woman of many endearing qualities, a devout 
Christian and loving mother. Besides her husband, she leaves two daughters and an 
only son. She was a member of the Tailors’ Union. The funeral will be held from 
St. Mary’s Catholic church, of which she was a member, at 9 o’clock Thursday 
morning.
