Virginian-Pilot May 29, 1917
Jose’ Ramos Lourida, a native of Coruna, Spain, died at St. Vincent’s hospital 
yesterday afternoon at 2:15 o’clock, following a long illness. He was 36 years old 
and, before he became ill, was a member of the crew of the steamer Honduras. He 
was highly esteemed among his companions. He is survived by his wife and one son. 
The funeral will take place Wednesday afternoon at 3 o’clock at the residence of 
Frank Caseivas, 128 Talbot street. Interment will be in St. Mary’s cemetery.
